Rowo is a beach in Lembupurwo village, sub-district of Mirit, Kebumen Regency. In contrast to other beach, there is a swamp and a bunch of pine trees stretched before the beach. The swamp is shallow enough to cross on foot. People especially kids love to spend their time playing on the swamp. They can swim, fishing, or just playing around on the water.
The second interesting part of the beach is the land of pine trees. Crossing the swamp, we will arrive at a cluster of pine trees, right before the beach. It looks like a tiny forest close to the lake. It’s lush and shaddy. People enjoy sitting under the trees watching the view of the swamp.
After playing on the swamp and then enjoying the environment of the tiny pine forest, commonly people will move to the beach. It means that in this place, we can enjoy three interesting locations at once, those are the swamp, the pines, and the beach itself.Rowo is a really nice place.
One of the unique customs there is called "Grebeg Rowo" and alms of sea. That customs has become an annual event of peoples there. Actually on that day the beach dense sea of humans.
